Sexual Violence is a social problem that we need to address everyday.

Until the age of 12, boys and girls are abused in a ratio of 1:6.

After the age of 12, girls and women are abused in a ratio of 1:3; boys and men are abused in a ration of 1:7.

In 87% of abuse cases the abuser is known to the survivor.

Approx. 65% of abuse cases took place when the victims were minors.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, in 2012, 40% of women have reported incidents of sexual harassment at the workplace.

The JRCC has developed specific, tailored training programs as a result of approaches from the wider professional community. We provide Educational training for therapeutic professionals in the field of sexual assault and trauma, as well as training seminars for attorneys, police officers, judges, nursing students etc. Our focus is providing professionals with the knowledge and skills that are essential to their work.

The array of courses and lectures for professional are held by experienced women in the areas of sexual abuse and treatment of survivors of sexual abuse. They have vast experience in handling and facilitating groups, especially those consisting of professionals. The courses provided by the JRCC are optimized to characteristics of the population of Jerusalem and the surrounding area, and they try to address the unique complexity of these target groups. Apart from the workshops, our staff invites various workplaces, educational institutions and professionals, to seek the guidance, advice and answer regarding the cases with which they deal.

The JRCC holds a yearly seminar for professionals from around the country, in which we discuss different aspects of sexual abuse. In 2015, the seminar dealt with Stockholm Syndrome as discussed by different professionals from the field in Israel.
